The Terrible Twos

TJ is officially 2. Wow. That is amazing. To usher in his first month of being 2, he has completed the following tasks:

1. Mastered the word "NO" and all is magically uses. Even when he means yes, he might still use NO, just to be sure its not going to work in that situation.

2. Learned about Time Out. TJ was sent to the time out step for yelling and kicking at mommy. He was told after a short time that he could get up and apologize. He walked into the kitchen, and Mommy said lovingly, "TJ are you going to say sorry?" He turns around, heads back to the step while replying, "NO! I go back to time out!"

3. Practiced the fine art of back and forth conversation.
TJ asks for a cookie.
Mommy replies, "No cookie until after dinner."
TJ asks again for another cookie.
Mommy again replies in the negative.
"MOMMY I WANT A COOKIE!"
"NO," I reply firmly.
TJ stomps his one foot and clearly states, "MOMMY, you don't tell TJ NO!"
