She's going to the chapel...NOT

Adam and I were standing outside the van this morning with all the kids strapped in kissing goodbye (very G-rated). I could hear the kids in the car as we leaned in to kiss, "EWW! YUCK!! YOU ARE GROSS!" And we laughed as we usually do. I got in the car to drive away and Laney stated, "I am NEVER getting married because I do NOT like kissing."

Ok. There you have it. Now save this post for when she is a teenager so we can remind her of her aversion to kissing!

This morning I was loading TJ in my car, and the older kids were getting in Adam's car for running to the various daycares and schools. I had a meeting early, so he was running the older ones out. I guess Ashley did not realize that the overhead light in daddy's car was on, because he was helping me get TJ out to car and she was alone in the car with Laney and Adam Jr. I look over just in time to see Ashley reach over the seat and hit Laney on the head. I walked immediately up to the car and shouted, "Ashley did you just hit your sister?" She replied, "No, I just tapped her on her head!"

A secret...

So the older kids were in Florida with their mom for spring break. When they returned on Sunday, I called them all in the dining room.

"Come in here, just the kids, not daddy, I have a secret."

So, of course they promptly came running to hear the secret that they would shout from the rooftops as soon as I was done telling them. Before I could get anything out, Ashley says, "I know, we are having another baby aren't we?"

Uh. NO! We are NOT, allow me to repeat that, NOT, having another baby. I did however, have a salad for lunch and dinner today.

What we were doing was getting together a little parade into the living room to tell Daddy congratulations on passing his journeyman's electrician exam. We are so proud of him.
