Cutting out the middle man
I was sitting on the living room floor eating some cheese crackers when TJ showed an interest in having some of my cheese. I broke the slice up into tiny pieces and held out my hand so he could practice his pincher grasp, pick up the bit of cheese, and put it in his mouth. He did this dutifully for a few times. Then he looked at me, looked down at my hand, and dove forward using his mouth alone to scarf up every piece of cheese left in my hand. He sat up and smiled. I believe he has learned that some things are more efficient if you cut out the middle man.
