Elaina attended zoo camp last week. I was really very proud of her. She often does not conquer things on her own, mostly she has experiences along with Ashley. She went though, and had an amazing time, made friends, and could not stop talking about the experience.
Did you know that emu are the second largest bird species, I think ostrich's are the largest, but we did not see them today
Today we saw a black rhino, but you couldn't really tell it was black because it was covered with mud, they use that for sunscreen. Oh yeah, and it was peeing...ALOT!
That's the three-toes sloth Jen, do you know what a sloth is? (I reply yes, not be outdone by the 8 year old) Uh, yes, but did you know his name is Mo? (nope, got me there!)
and my favorite...
Today we saw a python that can lay more than 50 eggs at a time! (I respond, "Wow, 50 eggs at one time, that's amazing!") NO Jen...I said MORE than 50 eggs at a time...not just 50.
Looks like we will be doing this as an annual summer activity.
