For posterity I think its important to document some Christmas tales, although none are particularly hilarious. Adam got some "True American Heros" which are much less expensive versions of GI JOEs, but he warmed up to them. The girls got make-up sets, chemistry kits, a microscope, and an Easy Bake Oven. TJ got lots of presents to open, and loves to do his favorite thing of late, dump everything out and then put it back. Oh...and the most used gift thus far...the Wii and Wii games that we got as a family (from JoJo). The best part was staying home all day on the 24th, sitting around in our PJs and opening every single thing Santa brought. We put an end to the running all over this year, and I have to admit, although family were disappointed, we had the BEST Christmas YET!
And then on New Year's Eve it was classic banging of pots and pans (at 11:00pm when we told them it was New Year's) And Ashley kept asking if she could stay up until the ball dropped. So we finally relented. She watched Dick Clark's sad countdown, watched the ball drop, and then commented, "Is that it?" When we answered yes, she replied, "But if you are there does it make a loud noise or does the ball break-apart or something?" She was just astonished that that was all there was. But I still think she had a good night!
