So we go to church as a family most weekends when we have all the kids. Last time we missed church because of a birthday party, and the time before that we went to a baptism at another church, so it had been awhile out of our routine. Ashley asked her dad in the car the other day, "Are we going to church this weekend?" "Yes," he replied. "Good," she says, "because we really need to show our spirit for God, it has been awhile."
Now Ash is a cheerleader, so I am not sure if this was the "Rah! Rah!" spirit or the holy spirit that we were supposed to be showing, but we went this morning. Afterwards, the gentleman who often sits behind us complimented me on the kids behavior, "Your children are really well behaved." I thought to myself, "That's because they are busy showing their spirit for God!!"
