You know what would be easier?

So, we are continuing on with the "boss" theme at the Ruschman household. Laney was the boss yesterday. At lunch she finished first, and stood behind Ashley demanding that she eat every last mouthful of her tuna noodle casserole. I pulled Laney aside and we discussed how Jen or Daddy might handle lunch, and that no one has to "clean their plate." She returned to the table a more mellowed boss, but the boss none the less. She began to clean up her spot at the table. She looked around and sat down waiting for the other two to finish eating so she could help make sure the kitchen was clean. Laney then looked up at me and said, "You know if everyone would clean up their own mess, then it wouldn't be so much for the boss to have to clean up!" Really? I had never considered that.
